Do You Qualify for Wegovy in Canada?

Provider intake forms collect height and weight, calculate body-mass index from them, and put the result in front of a reviewing clinician. That number is screened against the provider’s published intake criteria — applied by the clinician, and quoted nowhere on this page. Felix does publish intake criteria for its weight-management line on its own site (verified 2026-08-14). We do not reproduce the thresholds here, and that is a deliberate choice rather than a gap: a screening number lifted onto a third-party page reads as a rule, gets stale the moment the provider revises it, and belongs to the clinician applying it rather than to the reader measuring themselves against it.

Self-screening against a number found online is not how the decision works in either direction: an application matching every published criterion can still be declined, because the clinician’s judgment is the deciding layer. The check above never asks height or weight — it routes on province and situation only, and there is no table in this site’s database for a health answer to land in.

• Wegovy is a Novo Nordisk semaglutide product, and a separate product from Ozempic. Its formats, strengths, and regulatory status are not something we have verified, so this page states none of them; official product listings carry them.
• Felix publishes a per-pen price for brand-name Wegovy. $374.82 per pen at every dose it lists — 0.25mg, 0.5mg, 1mg and above (verified 2026-08-14). Felix states these prices are for patients in Ontario, do not account for insurance coverage, and reflect the cost after its Patient Support Program discount is applied.
• No provider here sells Wegovy at a flat monthly rate, because none of them sells medication that way. Felix bills per pen, and its visit fees are separate again: $0 for the initial visit, then $40 per follow-up visit. Hims Canada lists Wegovy among the medications it offers but publishes no price for it, stating the estimated cost per refill is shown during the online visit, alongside a $12.99 pharmacy fill fee on each refill. Maple’s medication is billed by the dispensing pharmacy rather than by Maple. All verified 2026-08-14.
• Quebec’s public plan declined Wegovy coverage in April 2026, after pan-Canadian Pharmaceutical Alliance negotiations ended without an agreement (verified 2026-08-12, and not re-checked in our 2026-08-14 review — it is the oldest fact on this page). That is a coverage fact rather than an access fact — Quebec’s separate access gate is below.

The check above ends with an exit ramp instead of a provider list when your province has no partnered online option. Quebec is the clearest case: Felix serves no line there at all (verified 2026-08-14), and our Quebec page documents what actually exists instead — Maple’s per-visit telehealth at its own Quebec pricing, the public system’s routes, and Quebec pharmacists’ authority over existing prescriptions, each cited to the body that published it.

New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland and Labrador sit outside Felix’s line as well. In those three provinces there are two published routes to ask about: Hims Canada says it is available in all ten provinces, and Maple states its practitioners are available in every province and territory (both verified 2026-08-14). One carve-out belongs to Nova Scotia specifically — Maple lists its named Weight Medication Assessment specialty everywhere except Nova Scotia, Nunavut, and the Northwest Territories (verified 2026-08-14) — so a Nova Scotia reader has Maple’s general practitioner access but not that named specialty.

The three territories are a separate question with a separate answer, and each provider answers it differently. Felix serves no territory. Hims Canada names no territory anywhere on its published pages, which is silence rather than a yes or a no, and we do not read it either way. Maple’s territory statement covers all three, but the specialty exclusion above removes Nunavut and the Northwest Territories — which leaves Yukon as the one territory with a documented route for that specialty (all verified 2026-08-14).
